My name is Aaliyah. I am a third-year undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, heading into my senior year. I am majoring in Sociology with minors in Health, Medicine, and Society, as well as Women and Gender Studies. I aspire to become a doctor one day!

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a passion for business. I run a small business called Lil'Joya, where I sell lip care products and sunglasses for skin protection. My business was even featured in my school's newspaper!

I genuinely enjoy giving back to the community. In high school, I participated in a similar program that was extremely helpful for me. My mentor from that program played a significant role in helping me get into my dream school. Additionally, I was a part of the CSTEP program in middle school, which is designed for students in the STEM fields. I was accepted into the program again during my junior year as an undergraduate student.

At Stony Brook, I have been actively involved in mentoring and teaching. I have served as a TA for freshman seminars and classes, mentored two freshmen, and TA'd for 101 classes twice and 102 once. I was also a mentor in one of the campus clubs, which has over 160 students.
