I received financial aid as well as outside scholarships to go toward tuition. During college, I had a work-study at the university call center. I also studied abroad in a three-country public health-focused program. Since graduation, I have worked as a Buffalo Public School teacher and COVID-19 contact tracer. I currently work as a capacity-building specialist for Cicatelli Associates Inc, a nonprofit dedicated to improving health care services through the power of research and training. I still play soccer, love fashion, enjoy reading, and am currently learning French.
