I am writing this letter to express my interest as tutor at TalkMySchool. I am currently a first-year candidate in the MS in Applied Life Sciences program. Previously, I worked at Clinical Laboratories in Dhaka, Bangladesh as clinical pathologist/ research officer. During this period, I realized how biotechnological companies are contributing in disease diagnosis and screening through developing innovative kits, reagents, auto analyzers etc. I learnt how to perform several molecular biology techniques such as qRT-PCR, clinical sample preparation and running in automation, measuring protein/ DNA concentration using spectrophotometer etc. through working as a senior research officer. I developed my leadership skills through my work as a senior research officer, as I supervised staff, prepared SOPs, distributing work among staff etc. This will prepare me for the main components of this role. I have completed my MSc in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2017) from Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. As I have obtained deep and proficient knowledge in Life Sciences and Biotechnology during my courses, I will look to research and work in a Life Sciences and Biotechnological company. I have experience in cell culture, performing PCR (both quantitative and qualitative), designing primers using BLAST, miRNA target gene collection, pathway and functional analysis of gene using DAVID. At KGI, my knowledge on biotechnology has been more fortified. I have also completed MBBS (Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery) from Dhaka University located in my native country Bangladesh. I have worked as physician for than 4 years at my country.
