I am currently an ABD PhD at the University of Georgia where I am pursuing a PhD in History. My proposed dissertation examines Native American tribal museums, monuments, repatriation, and the unresolved trauma in the South. I aim to provide a counternarrative to a history that many only know about through white-washed versions of American history. As a tribal descendant who works with Native Nations, I have a unique perspective on how we can work to preserve and highlight Indigenous history in the United States. My research centers on bringing diversity into the historical profession and giving a voice to those previously unheard.

I have two Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Being a dance major gave me invaluable experiences with film, dance, music, and art as I have had the opportunity to create work in each field and gain work experience that lends a unique perspective to my life. As a History major I have unparalleled verbal and written communication skills that allows me to exist in the real world with clarity. That lived artistic experience combined with the intense academic rigor makes me an exceptionally valuable asset when it comes to research, interpersonal skills, and organization.
