Hi! My name is Cece and I’m a history major with an education minor at UC Santa Barbara. I’ve always loved history and enjoy being part of the department here. These experiences have helped me find my passions and prepared me for future opportunities, especially ones that combine my interests in history, education, and working with others.

In high school, I graduated magna cum laude while taking a mix of AP and IB courses, which really helped me learn how to manage my time and think critically. Outside of school, I love playing soccer and spending time outdoors, which are great ways for me to have time outside of an academic setting to rest.

I've had the chance to work in a variety of roles that have really helped me grow. I worked as an English teacher, where I learned how to communicate clearly and create a positive learning space. I also worked as an assistant at a childcare center, which taught me a lot about patience and responsibility. On top of that, I’ve been a barista at a café and a medical receptionist, so I’ve definitely gotten used to working in fast-paced environments and handling multiple tasks at once. I love this school and would love to tell you all about it.
