As a student myself and open to experience I've had my share of experiences from working in retail, to working in call centers, to working in patient care and student services. My eight years in customer service have given me a lot of experience and taught me patience and tolerance. Seven years in higher education and K-12 student services have allowed me to learn new things daily. In this field, you will never be doing the same thing as you will be facing new things every day, and the reward of seeing students succeed is beautiful. During my journey in school, I joined various organizations that allowed me to enjoy school and challenged me. My best experience during my undergraduate journey was joining Alpha Phi Omega as a member each semester. We were required to do several service hours, mentor new members, and participate in activities that taught us leadership, friendship, and service. Not only were the memories unforgettable, but I also learned a lot by participating in events and mentoring new members who would lead the organization on the right path.
