I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration specializing in Information Management Systems from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. During my undergraduate years, I was an associate investor and (eventually) the managing director of the university-affiliated venture fund. Within the venture fund, I oversaw people and member satisfaction, member education and onboarding, event planning, and due diligence (research on potential investments.)
After graduating, I made a career switch to Clinical Psychology, recognizing my passion for supporting others through my people-oriented involvement in my undergraduate university's venture fund. I received several merit-based scholarships provided by Pepperdine University, where I am graduating with the class of 2024, to pay a portion of my tuition. To supplement my scholarships, I worked for a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient psychotherapy center as an administrative assistant and scheduler. There, I gained valuable experience in treatment planning for high-acuity patients because of my involvement in the structuring of their treatment schedules.
Currently, I am a marriage and family therapist trainee at a non-profit counseling center that works on a sliding scale to make mental healthcare accessible to clients of all socioeconomic statuses. I work as an individual adult counselor, as well as a group counselor for this non-profit's outreach efforts, co-facilitating groups for clients looking to fulfill court mandates.
