Hi! I'm Amaya, an emerging junior at the University of California, Davis studying Animal Science. In high school, I was part of an academically rigorous program which taught me skills to maintain a high GPA while also leaving myself room to participate in various volunteer opportunities and hobbies that were important to me. I have continued to pursue countless clubs and experiences in college that align with my interests, such as the Vet Aide club and Spanish club. Throughout both of my years here so far, I have received more than one scholarship from the university and other parties due to my academic achievements and goals. I am also a first-generation college student, so I can understand firsthand how confusing the application process / school selection may be at times. I have been enjoying my time at Davis, especially being involved in many animal-related opportunities around campus!
