My first year at UCLA was online during 2020-2021 and I volunteered as a Crisis Counselor through the Crisis TextLine, that summer I completed an internship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA working on a project focused on CRISPR delivery, and simultaneously worked as a site manager for an adult sports league during the evenings and weekends. During my second year, I began volunteering in the Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai, which I continued to do through my third year, and worked as a Clinical Research Assistant for UCLA Health with a focus on consenting patients for a genomic study. In my third year, I started working as a Clinical Research Associate at Cedars-Sinai in the Emergency Department and continued for a full year working on various studies, while also working as an assistant to a professor at UCLA. I was in a sorority for 2 years and studied abroad for my last quarter before graduating early. I received several merit and need-based scholarships from my high school, university, and study abroad program.
